Incredible pet store that pretty much has everything you need for your cat or dog. We have two cats and I exclusively come here because I can get the medicated food without having to provide a prescription. They carry the special protein (rabbit, duck, mouse) PR version and also the Royal Canin urinary calm SO variant of cat food. Besides that you have all the usual treats and medications you will need in one store. Exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff!

Highly recommend PetVet. I been coming here for 5 years. Along with shots I had my dog microchipped. Prices are very reasonable. I've always showed up around 9:30-9:45. I've never had to wait very long. Usually I'm out of there by 10:30am. Parking isn't the best but I always find parking behind the store.

I come here their pet exams and my dog’s allergy shots. The shots are the cheapest I’ve found anywhere and helped my dogs a lot. I’ve also come in when I need my dogs checked out for a reason and they’ve always provided good exams. The people are nice. If you go plan to stay awhile. Make sure you comment in the morning as theirs a limited amount of numbers for exams, so the early bird gets the early worm.

Prices for vet care was great, we usually take our fur baby to The VCA (great place) but the prices are crazy for pet care. Petvet is a more affordable option for your fur baby whether your getting shots or in need of a physical exam. They have everything you need for your pets from food to toys to medication. If you have a few hours to spare and you want to save money without sacrificing good pet care try Petvet. They have two locations that I know of in Oakland and El Cerrito

Always warm, helpful and friendly. The best brick and mortar pet supply in the east bay. Plus they offer vet care to all. Helping animals for ownership do not have budget to doctor’s veterinary office. Grateful they are there.

This place does a wonderful service to the per community by offering very reasonably priced vaccinations and veterinary services. Yes it's busy but they run a very efficient waiting system and are very professional once they get to you. They have to deal with all kinds of dogs including more aggressive ones and do so admirably. Keep up the good work! Fyi we rocked up at 10am, filled out a clip board, were assigned number 34, went and did some shopping, came back and were seen at around 11:30. Wait times vary and depend on whether you're just doing shots or having a vet exam.

Came here for Rx cat food for my 15yo cat. I've been less than focused since her being hospitalized and the staff here were very kind and patient. Certainly coming back.

The prices cannot be beat compared to other vets. I brought my cat as a first time client and when they rang me up I could have sworn it was a mistake. ~ $60 for vaccines, a check-up, and a month of flea meds. I went on a Monday and arrived a bit after 10am. You go in, get a clipboard and fill it out and hand it back to the front desk. They will come out and call you and your pet’s name and then bring your pet in for the exam (still socially distancing). I was the 9th person in line and the total wait time was around 2 hours. I was told they see about 5 clients per hour, so the time I waited was on par. It goes by pretty quickly if you bring something to entertain yourself with and don’t mind chatting with other pet parents and petting their adorable pets. I will certainly return with my dog. By the way, there is a deli next door with a great Lox sandwich and coffee if you need something while you wait. 10/10.

Oakland's hidden gem! They have large stock of alll kinds of pet food including hard to find food at the same price or better as online. They have deals too! The employees are always very helpful, nice, and friendly! They go above and beyond for all their customers to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
